wgc_chopper_largeHere is the latest XS650 chopper/bobber from our shop: Wise Guys Choppers, LLC in Marysville, WA.  My son and I are now building XS custom bikes full time and are loving it.  We built this for a friend who had an XS back in the late 70’s, and he always wanted to have another but not a stocker. At our shop we only work on the XS models because we believe them to be a complete viable motorcycle for all purposes…… and the fact that they are all around fun to ride and darned good looking too!

This bike has been a real pleasure to build.  We stretched the hardtail rear section 4 inches, added 4 inches in the backbone, and 5 in the down tubes.  This allowed us to put a front end from a 84 IT490 at a 40 degree rake and keep the trail decent.  The seat height is at 22 inches.  We frisco’d the sporty tank, added a monoshock suspended seat, built some intake tubes, added a skate board chain tensioner, made a dual mechanical rear brake loop. Custom built the forwards, powdercoated the entire bike.

All work was done in-house with exception of the pinstripping, and frame coating.  We don’t have an oven big enough to do a full size frame yet.  Well we hope you enjoy the pictures here and if anyone needs assistance or work on your project be sure to contact us at \n // --> This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
