Well it took me 5 weeks to build her but I got her done. It started out as a 1979 XS 650. I bought a Kansas Kustoms hardtail and welded it on. It snowballed from there. I ended up throwing a Boyer Bransden ignition system on it, new drag pipes, rebuilt the front end, and painted it myself too.
I’ve attached my before and after pictures….It has taken me about 11 months of work and about 3 grand to get to where I am now. But let me tell you, I can’t stop to get gas for folks coming up to me and asking about the bike. It’s a hoot to ride and will certainly turn heads at the bike shops in town.
This is my 83 Yamaha 650 Heritage Special project that I’ve been working on for quite a while. It’s mostly done now besides some minor tweaking and tinkering. It has a lot of custom and unique parts so look close at the pictures.
